Designed specifically as a defensive cartridge, the .40 S&W offers both a large bore diameter and high velocity to assure effective stopping power, maximized with our Solid Copper Hollow Point bullet. Solid Copper Hollow Points expand to double caliber, .800” or more, while deploying six sharp cutting petals. Penetration is a key attribute of Solid Copper too, and this 125 gr. SCHP zips through barriers such as heavy clothing, wallboard or a windshield without deflecting or breaking apart. Velocity from real-world pistols is 1,250 fps for 434 ft/lbs of muzzle energy.

Our .40 caliber 125 gr. SCHP penetrates 14 to 15 inches in ballistic gel while typical six-petal expansion measures .800” to .820” with 100% weight retention. Accuracy is enhanced by roll sizing the bullets after manufacture to assure perfect concentricity and uniformity, making our .40 S&W as accurate as a match load.
